By Air

Stanstead Airport is the closet to Cambridge.  There is a frequent train service with directs trains that takes about 35 minutes.  Price approx. £12:50 each way.  The railway station is a 20-minute walk from Peterhouse or less than 10 minutes in a Taxi.

Luton Airport.  There is a slow and infrequent coach service.  A Taxi ride is about an hour and 15 minutes.  If you come by this route, you are strongly advised to prebook your Taxi or you may find that you have high charges if there is busy traffic.  There are many taxi and chaffer companies offering airport transfer services to Cambridge.  Companies with a large fleet of cars to consider include:

Heathrow.  There is a frequent tub (into London via the Piccadilly Line) and Train service from Kings Cross Cambridge.  There is also an infrequent coach service.  If there are several of you it might be more cost effective and convenient to book a Taxi/chaffer car. 

Companies with a large fleet of cars to consider include:

Gatwick airport is some distance away from Cambridge.  Direct trains are infrequent, so planning is advised.  There are more trains available if you are prepared to change trains.

Train

London Kings Cross offers the fastest and most direct train service.

There are also regular trains from Liverpool St. station.

If coming from the North or Midlands head towards Peterborough where you may need to change trains for Cambridge.

Cambridge has two railway stations.  Cambridge (CBG) is the most convenient station for Peterhouse.  The railway station is a 20-minute walk from Peterhouse or less than 10 minutes in a Taxi.

Parking is notoriously difficult in Cambridge if you plan to come by car, please will you contact the meeting organiser to see if any special arrangements can be made.
